I'm having some major install problems due to the fact that some of my
hardware
is pretty new. I have an nVidia GeForce AGP256 Video card and a 34 gig hard
drive, Ultra-Dma 66 Controller with a Pentium III 733. I can install Red Hat
6.1, but it doesn't recognize my video card or my controller. I can only
logon in console mode. I have no Gnome or Kde Xwindows Gui support at all. I
found that Xfree86 3.3.6 now supports my video card and I found a driver that
may or may not work for my ultra-dma-66 controller, BUT of course, I don't
know how to get it!!!!! I don't have FTP or browser support when I'm logged
into Linux, so I can't download these changes and they won't fit on a
floppy..Oh yeah, and one more thing. I have to boot from a floppy because
LILO won't install in MBR. Issues with the 1023 bios limit....AAHHHHHHHHH.
Any suggestions on how I might proceed?
Thanks
