The answer to that question will depend on what your main use of exchange
is ie , if its just to forward and recieve internet mail for regular users,
then there is many other ways to do it with Linux or UNIX, usually sendmail
is installed by default, so the config will be your only hurdle, it can be
quite a task to setup, but if you are an NT/exchange guru you will probably
be able to handle it ok.......
If its the calender, message boards, voting etc, then I don't believe there
is a refined drop in system for Linux, you will have to investigate though
as things change quick..... you can get other software to do these things,
but it may take you some time to become familiar withthem and also to
impliment such things....... if cost is not an object, have a look at
openmail , there are some other commercial systems as well ......
go to http://www.freshmeat.net and do a search on mail
that should give you plenty to go on.
