Hello,
I'm testing out KDE 4.8 and plasma-desktop keeps crashing
unfortunately. Is there anyway that I can debug it? Are there any log
files I can take a look at?

It's not just an Amarok issue. 'Unimportant' information shouldn't be stored.

I'm trying to compile kdebase and I keep getting this compile error:

aha. t
I'm trying to change some configurations with the KDE desktop sideshow, but I
can't figure out where the code is to control the buttons on the window, funny
enough.
The code is here:
http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdebase/workspace/plasma/generic/wallpapers/image/
represent minimized windows are
gone. Is there anyway to keep that? Or was this changed by someone else in
another revision?

/trunk/KDE/kdebase/workspace/plasma/generic/runners/nepomuksearch/ is missing
nie.h and nfo.h
queryclientwrapper.cpp (and another file in within plasma) includes both files
but neither nie.h or nfo.h exist
Anybody know where they are?

Under /trunk/KDE/kdebase/workspace/plasma/generic/wallpapers/image, image.cpp
includes ksmserver_interface.h on line 35. Does anyone know where this file is?
It isn't being auto-generated so it has to be in svn somewhere.
I'm trying fix bug #197654. My compiler can't find ui_imageconfig.h and
ui_slideshowconfig.h and I can't find it anywhere in svn. Does anyone know
where these header files are located?

I don't have a KDE SVN account, so it would be great if you could commit and
backport it.

d work too, it would just look a bit less dynamic, compared to the
rest of plasma. However, if it seems to be the most elegant way of solving
these problems, then it is also probably the best, for now.

I'm sorry. I wasn't clear. The file structure I'm proposing would be
completely abstract, and not really based on folders. Aaron's kind and
concise suggestion that nepomuk is a better candidate seems like a better
idea.
However, there still is the problem that many applications put downloads in

A few usability bugs (okay, maybe only one, but I like exaggeration as much
as the next guy) have been popping up recently regarding how to deal with

dumping ground for files, launchers and downloads. Most solutions have to

Seeing the taskbar presented for Windows 7, I found it both intriguing
and lacking. For this reason, I'm looking at how to design a grouping
thumbnail taskbar for plasma to best make use of the window management
tools/effects made available in Kwin.
