I just installed Arch on a my new laptop and was trying out
Enlightenment (current Arch repository versions). Whenever I run
Elementary, after a while it (Elementary) always locks up--doesn't
respond to any keys or mouse. I can simulate the problem by immediately
pressing a backspace when I f
ations),
Settings and Enlightenment, with an E restart between each one. Also
tried moving my ~/.e out of the way. Still nothing in the apps menu.
What do I need to do to get my apps menu back?

Seems like a usability issue to me - I think there should be a
"default" configuration. I just created the following ticket

Known bug? Suggestions?
I recently decided to give Enlightenment a test drive, and dwonloaded e16
from the Ubuntu Software Packages repository in a *.deb package, and
installed successfully on my Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit machine. Seems to be
functioning OK, although I have some specific issues that I need help with:

I have the same problem OFTEN (maybe the fiveth time in 3 months).
"just" deleting e17_cvs/ (made by easy_e17.sh in ~) solves the
problem... But still dirty.

Of course, it is a weird behaviour when having one screen, but when you
*have to* "merge" the screens, it b

I have troubles to make modules for a week, but my "e" is fresh from

your app using the "run command" menu. Then,
right
click the icon, and use the "create icon" menu.
It used to crash often, now, you might use it (if you are lucky).
Sometimes, pictures are (or not) "thumbed" but most of icon size files wil
down !
