Hi, first of all, what are you talking about e16 or e17 ?!
I think that is e17, and it does actually work pretty fine for a developpement version. This developpement version is provided with even less warranty than e16 which is released ! Use it at your own risks ;p It might crash (well, it does sometimes) But I use it for about 6 month as my only environment, and I just love it ! e17 works better and better everyday, you should go sometimes on the CVS (when it sucks too much) to checkout new patches !
