remembered that after upgrading to 13.10 this bug was fixed by removing
or restart ibus. But in 14.04 removing ibus will remove many other

I would leave wifi enabled on device that doesn't have a user setup. As soon
as there is a user setup, part of those steps should be to setup a wifi
connection and if there is none turn the wifi setting to off. In a similar

Just to be clear, we've had discussions about whether or not Wi-Fi
should be enabled by default on a bootstrap install.
My opinion on this is that it should *not* be enabled by default as
without user intervention, it's not going to automatically connect
anyways and thus will just chew up battery.
