change stuff like jumbo frames, "Receive descriptors" and "Interupt Moderate
Rate". Now I have also a linux machine with debian 4

I have mounted some windows shares on my linux debian computer using smbfs.
Everything works fine when the windows shares are available. However sometimes
the windows samba server goes down and the windows shares are not available. On

broken, Can't reinstall them either. Any suggestions or humorous

If you burn CDRs (and almost everybody does these days), you'll probably want at least
1 GIG of space in /tmp since that's the logical place to put your temporary images
files during the burning process. If you've got room to spare on your hard drive, then
2 GIGs in /tm

have not been able to either copy or roll-my-own VCDs. Xcdroast, for example, seems
to copy VCDs fine - but the copies won't play. Most any Windows burner program I've
used can at least copy a VCD without a hiccup. What software are you using? Is there a

Despite the error message, a box pops up on my screen with the Chinese characters
"yinshu banxing", but I can't see any way to use it to input Chinese characters.

I'm not sure but I think you need a ipv6 modul and sit0 interface. There
is a error when a programm is with IPV6 compiled but kernel not.

ou go any further, run aumix and set volume and pcm
to maximum, then see if you've got any sound. I encountered the same (embarassing)
issue when I first installed Debian.

Does Debian have an application similar to RedHat's Kickstart? I want
to be able to duplicate the same configuration on multiple machines,

I'm running unstable, and about a month ago I noticed that after my
machine had been up for a few days that I couldn't initiate a log in
session or switch users. After the password is accepted, the log
session just sits there and never returns a prompt. The system is just

days because of a recent update. I was finally able to log in and found
that most of my fonts are gone. Most notably was Helvetica. I checked
my fonts.conf and it looked alright, so I tried to make sure the font
still existed o

to do a better job with handling fonts. To be more specific, Xemacs has
more beautiful fonts and lets you change default font size. But Emacs is
