Hi everyone,
I am trying to buy a new modem that
can do fax+voice (+limited data). It has to be
complete hardware (well, I can settle with HCF modem
if it works with mgetty) and class 2 fax capable. I
have searched for a while, but can't find anything.
Any suggestion?

Hi Debian Users!
I use make-kpkg to create a new kernel-image for
Knoppix and install it using dpkg.
The install will go all the way except for a

/etc/fstab around.
There won't be a fstab because K

Hi all,
For some time I have been working on a pet project of mine. To enable
Debian to run on small embedded devices. So I tweaked knoppix to bring
it under 25 MB in clooped file system Image. Today I am happy to release
it to the world. Find it at http://emknoppix.sarovar.org
The work is far

Oh, please!
I personally use Unstable. Don't be afraid of the name--"unstable"
refers to the package list itself, in that it changes frequently with
the addition and removal of packages. The software itself is stable, for
the most part. I have only had a few problems in the year or so I've
been using Unsta

I am installing Debian on a Internet-capable computer
for experimentation and a way to continue learning
about Linux without the limitations of a live CD.
Should I use stable, testing, or unstable? My
preference would be to have the most recent packages,
but also somewhat tested, so should I use
