I use PuTTY on a Win98 machine to connect to my home machine behind a router, tunnelling VNC over SSH. Is it possible to tunnel through a router using Cygwin/SSH and get an X desktop? I like VNC (especially TightVNC), but I've found it to be a bear to set up. :-) I often lose the ability to dial

I maintain a few websites on shared servers that are outside of my network. I routinely SSH into them to edit files, etc. Each time I SSH I have to authenticate by giving the Username and Password for the account on the shared server. That Username is not the same as my Username on the box
