At times, yes. Although I don't know what dotfile is doing. Can you post the filter generated? I've segfaulted procmail before, but without an example, I don't know what to debug. A useful method of finding out what is going on is to add LOGFILE=$MAILDIR/.procmaillog VERBOSE=on to the top of your .procmailrc.
