Hello
I'd like to edit & save some files in UTF-8, preferably with
xemacs-21(-mule), if not possible then with emacs(-21).
I won't type any other characters than latin1, but they should be
stored as utf-8 and any other chars (even chinese) should not be
damaged, but I don't need them to be dis

I have tried printing to file from the Windows box, and it ouputs a .prn
file, which is apparently of type:

I'm more interested in what's in the file, rather than what "file" thinks.
I don't have a postscript driver i

I'm looking for a program or some code to help extract url's from
arbitrary file types. I imagine I could write such a program using bison,
but I'd like to use an existing program to reduce the amount of research
that I would have to do to figure out what is and isn't a valid URL.
Hello all,
I have a file that I created using MS Word (I know, I know) that IU
would like to convert into a postscript file. The problem I am having
is that Openoffice, Abiword, etc. all mess up the formatting when I try
to open it, so I can't just print to file there. I have not yet tried

Don't start two threads on the same day regarding the same
problem. That makes it hard to follow what you've tried, what
dosn't work, and what suggestions you've already had. Just start
one thread and continue with it.

Others have tried to help with the shutdown thing - and I hate to nag in
a moment of crisis. But could you turn off the html e-mail when you post
to the list? I suspect the htmp is broken - at least it comes out as a
real mess here.
