Attached is a patch removing two useless declaration in ldso.h
(functions defined static and not used elsewhere). It also adds a
static definitons of __malloc_trim in free.c.
Both changes allow the package to build on i386.

Vorlon is right, this script is optionnal, or even extra-optionnal, and

The GCC bug in question seem to be #323686. When it is fixed, the
special handling of arm could be removed.
This patch switches the arm build to use gcc 3.4. Perhaps it will
work. I got no way to test it, as I lack an arm machine.
