I tested the newer versions today and it
seems that problems have gone with the provided versions.
I was able to successfully send 2 Faxes à 2 Pages without an error (before I
could not even send one without a segfault) Because our customer was very busy
today I could not test the c2faxrecvd and there was only time to send to faxes.
Currently I'm running the following:
1) Firmware 03.11.03 from
ftp://ftp.in-berlin.de/pub/capi4linux/firmware/b1/3-11-03/
2) capi4hylfax 01.03.00 debian source package
to work on Debian Stable (Sarge) the following changes needed to be made to
the debian/control file to meet the dependencies of a Debian 3.1 System
libcapi20-dev (>= 1:3.6.2005-01-03-5), libtiff4-dev (>= 3.7.2)
I've compiled my capi4hylfax with these settings which I used in my tests
3) a vanilla kernel-2.6.12.6
I also believe that Bug

is related to this bug, because I've seen, (depending on the kernel
configuration) that the kernel is oopsing in an endless loop then I saw exactly
the behavior mentioned in Bug 296576
