A simple solution that works is to download the source and change the Depend
on libwxgtk2.4-1-python to python-wxgtk2.6.
Build and the packages will work fine. I did it myself and like it much

I've attached the diff of the 1:0.9.7-0.3 NMU I prepared that should get

Xorg was updated today and now I am not able to login anymore via kdm or
gdm (tried both).
