Hi Joey, ... This bug currently makes powerpc installs of sarge using the desktop task (by far the more common) impossible, so i would like to know if you have an estimate on when the situation will be fixed, or if we have to get word out about this problem and suggest workaround (like not use the desktop task, disable security for the install and renable it afterward and such).
I guess this means no security for kde on powerpc in sarge, which is not nice but people can live with, but having sarge/desktop/powerpc uninstallable is an order of maginitude worse, especially as we start getting feedback from users with problems about this.
