I rebuilt the iso using the version of isolinux from stable and it still
crashed the domU. When I rebuilt it using the vmlinux and initrd.gz

That is odd: I thought I had the appropriate calls to
update-alternatives --install / --remove in mit-scheme.postinst/prerm.
Any idea what's going wrong? It looks like I'm doing the recommended
