Hello, I think I was also affected by this freezing MariaDB of version 10.11.6. For me it happened after a reboot, which caused a lot of IO (on slow disks), which seemingly triggered the hang bug when running out of IO slots, as mentioned in the official release notes [1]. I had to kill -9 it.
