Just a quick update. I'm doing some logging. To me it looks like DNS
replies may not come fast enough. For some reason, with calls from spamc
from procmail they aren't timing out and moving to the next hop (thereby
marking it as the sender and causing the SPF failures) like happens in
spamass-m
Well I pretty much stopped using gnome-terminal (due to this bug) so
I've not been spotting changes.
The symptoms seem to be the same, I guess the root cause may be different.

With zsh 5.8, the SIGPIPE trap is not executed when the builtin that
generates it is the last command of a subshell:

I figured out, that ProxyPassMatch causes my Problem. I changed the
configuration to
SetHandler "proxy:fcgi://127.0.0.1:9000"
Now everything is fine
