After upgrading to 185.18.14-1 starting X using gdm failed -- quite like
in message #20 (everything starts, logo flickers and then X dies). I was
able to start X using almost every way but gdm (startx, plain X server
etc) and gdm was the one to blame.

VDPAU support is implemented for ffmpeg now by including the headers along with
the Debian packaging directory and providing the proper cflags. Should be
included in the next upload.

same thing here. Cryptsetup trying to use my swap device as root
filesystem and failing there, rendering the system unbootable.
I'll try to proposed fix now, removing the line mentioned in the bug
report.
