from /etc/modprobe.d, and because of sorting (I guess) it was always using
the old (backup) settings instead of the settings in the original file, as in:

currently you need to edit slim.conf to chose which sessions are
available at startupt. It'd be nice if it could use available .desktop
files in /usr/share/xsessions, as it seems it's the default place.
