~/.ppracer, the keybindings return to the expected settings and the game

I got a bit more information by running g-v-m from a terminal window.
It does receive the events from hal and try to process them, but it
isn't quite working. The device contains a FAT16 file system.
If the device is plugged in when g-v-m starts, it WILL mount it.
However if it's plugged in later,
