Hello Elvis,
I am unfortunately kept away from coding by non hobby stuff at the moment.
I have been working for quite a while on a new style manager. The current
style manager is a mix of several partial rewrites on top of each other. I
have started from scratch completely, using a QAbstractModel

I am not now in a position to do a proper review for the moment. However a
couple of questions:
- what is it you are trying to do with these "other" paragraph styles?
- why inserting them is not done through the kotext's styleManager like the
"standard" paragraph styles and directly into the model
done here is to
replace the whole preview with a thumbnail created by the KoStyleThumbnailer
(in the textlayout lib).
That way, the preview is really using the same layout/drawing stuff as the
shapes. Now it is all done specific to this preview.

Also that the subject of test server is on again. Is a windows test setup
still planned? If there is need for help, please tell me what I can do. I am
still compiling the whole calligra and fixing compilation errors when I
encounter any. However it is consuming a large part of my coding time.

Well, the style selection widget is still work in progress. The reason why
it is not displaying the preview is still eluding me. It was before the
re-factoring of the layout, but I don't have nailed down where exactly the
problem lies. I'll work more on it this evening. However, I don't know if it

Although I think that the new text layout should be included in the
snapshot, I do agree with Thorsten here that the branch should have got a
better review process.
Basically say
I also agree. If it really is a matter of days rather than weeks. It really
would be a shame to miss one of the biggest and most noticeable change in

Just something to keep in mind:
on windows MSVC, libpoppler is a static library ("because poppler does not
have import/export thing for the core(private) api" dixit pinotree).
Libpoppler is not meant to be used directly. For the karbon pdf filter this
is however what we do. This means that:
