[Bug 221967] Re: Disk is working every 3 sec only when on battery

2008-06-29 Thread Federico
Any news about this bug?
I think it's an important issue that has started with Hardy while before it was
not present.
Do you need more information? How can we provide it?

[Bug 221967] Re: Disk is working every 3 sec only when on battery

2008-05-23 Thread Federico
I can confirm this behavior on my Kubuntu Hardy x86, running on an Asus laptop.
I would say that the "noise" interval in my case is even shorter, something
between 1 and 2 seconds.
As already stated, the problem arises only on battery mode.

[Bug 385973] [NEW] evolution can't find subfolders in exchange other user mailbox

2009-06-11 Thread Federico
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution-exchange

First, the info of the packages:
evolution 2.26.1-0ubuntu2
evolution-exchange 2.60.0-0ubuntu3
evolution-data-server 2.60.0-0ubuntu3

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 and my exchange (version 2003) is in a Windows
Server 2003

Well, with my personal account I can view all subfolders. But when
subscribe my account to other user mailbox, I can view only the inbox,
but not the subfolders. The second account has the correct permissions
(in fact, I tried giving me owner permissions). I tried in windows and
can view all the subfolders of the second account in MS Outlook.

When I run the evolution whit debugging mode whit env E2K_DEBUG=5 evolution >&
evo.log
I found the next info when evolution starts to update the folders:

All the subfolders with personal/* are really empty but the last
warning, but not the address of the second user mailbox.

Another thing I tried is create a new folder from evolution in the inbox
of the second user, but I get a generic error. In the debug log I get
this line:

DEBUG: sopo...@x.com.ar/Bandeja de entrada/testfolder
(exchange://MYUSER;auth=ba...@exchserver.com.ar/sopo...@x.com.ar/Bandeja%20de%20entrada/testfolder)

Possibly all the matter is a bug of evolution-exchange but I'm not sure. If
anyone know something please take a look at this

[Bug 157682] Kubuntu 7.10 does not mount automatically a DVD after the start up

2007-10-27 Thread Federico
Public bug reported:

In my Kubuntu Feisty, when I started the pc with a DVD inside the drive, it was
automatically mounted.
With Kubuntu Gutsy, it doesn't happen, and the strange thing is that the icon
of an unmounted DVD doesn't appear on the desktop either, while it should. I
can also hear the DVD turning inside the drive.
Then, if I mount it manually, the icon of the mounted DVD appears correctly on
the desktop and after a while the DVD stops turning. And when I unmount it, the
icon of an the unmounted DVD appears, as it has to be.

[Bug 192787] [NEW] Evolution client "lost" the inbox folder

2008-02-17 Thread Federico
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Upon installing Ubuntu 7.10, and keeping my .evolution folder intact

[Bug 183266] Re: Okular crashes with gs files

I'm using Gutsy, x86 and nVidia graphic card
Sometimes the crash is right after opening a file, sometimes scrolling it,
sometimes modifying the zoom.
Sometimes a crash dialog is opened with a invalid backtrace, sometimes with a

[Bug 183266] Okular crashes with gs files

2008-01-15 Thread Federico
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: okular-kde4

Okular always crashes when opening, or after some seconds when visualizing
different ps files.
I found out in the kde bugs site that the problem should be related with the
version of the libgs ubuntu package: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155674
In my kubuntu gutsy I have version 8.61.dfsg.1~svn8187-0ubuntu3.2 installed,
while in comment #6 they state that okular can work properly with versions
higher than 8.61.dfsg.1~svn8187-3.
Any plan to update the libgs8 version in the repositories? Right know, okular
is unusable...at least with gs files

[Bug 183289] Superkaramba-kde4 is not able to run some themes

2008-01-15 Thread Federico
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: superkaramba-kde4

When I try to run some themes with superkaramba-kde4, I get this message:
SuperKaramba cannot continue to run this theme. One or more of the required
components of the Kross scripting architecture is not installed. Please consult
this theme's documentation and install the necessary Kross components.
It happens with commonly used themes, like liquid weather, that work fine with
the superkaramba for kde3.
Could it be a problem related with some dependencies that have not been
included in the kde4 package?

[Bug 184291] Wrong encoding with kde applications using a kdm4 X session

2008-01-19 Thread Federico
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdm-kde4

When I start a X session using kdm-kde4 as the display manager, I encounter
problems with my character encoding.
For example, in konsole-kde4 all the Italian characters of my Italian keyboard

@oberst
your problem is due to a bad update for the xserver-xorg-core package:

now it should have been fixed, so just update your ubuntu to install the new

then retry to open azureus :)

2007-11-16 Thread Federico
I have the same problem with kopete 0.12.7 and kubuntu 7.10 gutsy i386.
It seems that this bug appeared several months ago.
It's reported also in the kde bug tracking system:

but all the people who reported the bug there were using the ubuntu package, so

[Bug 57875] Re: Azureus hangs or crashes showing splash screen at start

2007-11-19 Thread Federico
Today I tried version 2.5.0.4-1ubuntu3~gutsy1 from the gutsy-backports and
sadly it didn't work: every time I tried to download a torrent (in both cases
with azureus already opened and not) azureus started to freeze. I'm using sun
java 6 on my kubuntu x86.
Then, I downgraded the package to version 2.5.0.4-1ubuntu2~7.10prevu1 that was
posted here and it started to work fine again.

[Bug 57875] Re: Azureus hangs or crashes showing splash screen at start

2007-11-20 Thread Federico
Hi John, I retried several times again, and the behavior seems quite
unpredictable.
Sometimes Azureus freezes when opening a new torrent file (from a firefox link
or directly from Azureus) and sometimes it doesn't. And this for both the
0ubuntu2 and the 0ubuntu3 releases.
I will try to delete again to delete my ~/.azureus directory, and look if with
a clean environment the behavior becomes more stable.
I will let you know if I will discover something else.
Thank you for your work.

[Bug 192787] Re: Evolution client "lost" the inbox folder

2008-03-24 Thread Federico
I followed Pedro's advice as soon as I could. I have also tried to make
my old Inbox available through other means. In brief, here's what I know
now:

- Hardy Heron's Evolution (live CD) launched nicely, inheriting all old
mailboxes, but overwrote the old Inbox promptly, substituting the one-
message welcome by the Evolution team. I might not have been doing
things right, of course. I had plenty of backups, of course.

- Gutsy Gibbon's Evolution seems unable to recognize mbox files of 6.2G
(that's the Inbox size, but it won't read the file even if it is not
presented as an Inbox). However, splitting the file down to 1G size
seems to make the resulting mbox files accessible. This is certainly a
way to work around the problem. I just was never aware of a size
limitation - and it's Evolution under Feisty Fawn and predecessors that
built such a humongous Inbox...

[Bug 1649945] Re: HP 470g3 - not resume from standby

2016-12-14 Thread federico
First post was incomplete, more informations:

Precitations
This issue is present shutting the lid of my laptop, which is set to suspend on
close and also clicking the word Suspend in the GUI.
Shutting the lid of my laptop + power button to resume: black screen.
Standby clicking the word Suspend in the GUI + power button to resume: appear
the login screen but all is freeze, also the pointer.
In both cases I have to power off the laptop with long pressing the power
button.

More tests
Here there are more logs. Operation that I did before make these logs:
- disabled auto suspend after lid close
- suspend using Suspend button in the GUI
- resuming using the power button (appears freezed login screen)
- power off long pressing power button
- start and create logs attached in this post

[Bug 1649945] Re: HP 470g3 - not resume from standby

2017-01-26 Thread federico
Ok, now I test the upstream kernel from here http://kernel.ubuntu.com
/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.10-rc5/

kernel tested is:
4.10.0-041000rc5-generic

Now with this kernel, going to standby using suspend button in the GUI,
and resuming from standby using the power button, the bug is still NOT
present, ubuntu seems to resume from standby correctly.

[Bug 1649945] Re: HP 470g3 - not resume from standby

2017-01-18 Thread federico
No, this is a new computer and this is a fresh install. I'm really sorry but at
this time I'm unable to try the latest upstream kernel.
But I confirm that this issue is also present in these kernels (they are the
latest kernels present in the official Mint Update Manager):
4.8.0-30
4.8.0-32
4.8.0-34

[Bug 990845] [NEW] Send to does not show elapsed time/total transfered dialog

2012-04-28 Thread Federico
Public bug reported:

Right click on a file, "send to" chose (i.e.) a pen drive, then, click
on send, I expected to see the typical dialog with the elapsed time, and
the total transfered size, but, insted, the previous dialog just "hangs"
until the file is transfered (which works, but you have no way of tell
how much time is going to pass until finished)
