Public bug reported: Kubuntu Vivid Beta 2
After the computer is put in sleep mode (e.g. by closing the lid of my laptop) the default layout is set, and the layout switcher (on the tray bar) gets stuck until I change something in the keyboard setting window and apply the change. The problem seems to reside in Xorg which reset the Keyboard layout, This is the relevant part of my Xorg.0.log: 89.592] (**) AT Translated Set 2 keyboard: Applying InputClass "evdev keyboard catchall" [ 89.592] (II) Using input driver 'evdev' for 'AT Translated Set 2 keyboard' [ 89.592] (**) AT Translated Set 2 keyboard: always reports core events [ 89.592] (**) evdev: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard: Device: "/dev/input/event4" [ 89.592] (--) evdev: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard: Vendor 0x1 Product 0x1 [ 89.592] (--) evdev: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard: Found keys [ 89.592] (II) evdev: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard: Configuring as keyboard [ 89.592] (**) Option "config_info" "udev:/sys/devices/platform/i8042/serio0/input/input16/event4" [ 89.593] (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "AT Translated Set 2 keyboard" (type: KEYBOARD, id 11) [ 89.593] (**) Option "xkb_rules" "evdev" [ 89.593] (**) Option "xkb_model" "pc105" [ 89.593] (**) Option "xkb_layout" "gb" [ 89.593] (**) Option "xkb_variant" "UK, international with dead keys" [ 107.377] (II) XKB: reuse xkmfile /var/lib/xkb/server-AD2207F27FE566DD6BC38BFD17F6DCB4F1E15095.xkm ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1440431 Title: Kubuntu Vivid Beta 2.
