Not sure where you want to do this (Linux or Windows) but I guess you are currently working on the Windows side since your Ubuntu is not working. You can download md5-checkers for Windows at http://md5-check- windows.qarchive.org/ (or simpy google for many more). There is also instructions on that site. [Bug 376700] [NEW] zsh completion does not recognize ".." as directory in 4.3.9
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: zsh Happened from the switch 4.3.6 --> 4.3.9, reconstruction simple: type cd .. and hit TAB. Of course Ubuntu recommends using jaunty. But the main issue here is the Intel driver, so you cannot purely blame Ubuntu for this particular problem. You type xrandr --output LVDS --set BACKLIGHT_CONTROL combination and the brightness behavior is completely normal again. How can I have this permanently set (instead of running a script everytime I login)? Maybe it could be fixed since many people have this intel video card. Shouldn't it be fixed in xserver-xorg-video-intel? -- [i965] Wierd backlight brightness behaviour looks like flashes on Amilo Si 2636 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356510 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 356510] Re: [i965] Wierd backlight brightness behaviour looks like flashes on Amilo Si 2636
** Description changed: I have random screen flashes in Jaunty beta, where the screen goes black for a split second. Similar flashes appear when I play around with the brightness applet in the gnome-panel. To reproduce the problem: 1) use your hotkeys to set brightness to min (darkest screen) 2) use your hotkey "brightness up" to go to maximum brightness 3) go further up beyond the max Result: the screen will go dark again. Going further up with brightness will at some point stabilize the maximum brightness. Example: my BACKLIGHT levels are 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-0 and if I start from 1 and keep hitting the "brightness up" hotkey then I get the pattern 1-4-5-6-7-0-7-2-0-0-0 The interesting thing here is that it dims from 0 to 7 to 2 even though I press "brightness up". + + UPDATE: typing "xrandr --output LVDS --set BACKLIGHT_CONTROL + combination" into a terminal fixes the problem. [Bug 371743] [NEW] Dust Sand window borders: text overlaps with icon in window title bar
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-themes-ubuntu In the Dust Sand theme, the text overlaps with the icon in the window title bar. It's easy to understand what I mean if you look at the attached screenshot. I think I have a pretty normal jaunty install and I'm using the human icon set in that screenshot. So I think it's a theme bug. ** Affects: gnome-themes-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Dust Sand window borders: text overlaps with icon in window title bar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371743 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

And here if I move it a little further to the right, so it get's compressed even more. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot-2.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/25699578/Screenshot-2.png -- Jaunty: indicator applet cannot be removed from panel when inactive (it simply cannot be seen) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356515 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 356515] Re: Jaunty: indicator applet cannot be removed from panel when inactive (it simply cannot be seen)
Here there's a window list that is compressed because to the right of it there is an indicator applet that is completely invisible. That's kind of confusing. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot-1.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/25699567/Screenshot-1.png -- Jaunty: indicator applet cannot be removed from panel when inactive (it simply cannot be seen) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356515 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 356702] Re: Jaunty: window switcher tooltips stick when they shouldn't
I wasn't sure if it was metacity issue or not. All I know is that it happened to me ever since I upgraded to Gnome 2.26. It might be a Gnome issue as well though, because these tooltips are completely useless notifications of the gnome panel (the dragging in the switcher has once been abondoned because it was too buggy). I agree that it's a very annoying bug. -- Jaunty: window switcher tooltips stick when they shouldn't https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356702 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
