[Bug 306860] [NEW] evolution crashes upon changes in preferences
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution I saw similar bugs on Launchpad, but they are all old and say that the problem is fixed... I think I am using the latest version of Evolution, so may be it isn't fixed after all. To reproduce this bug: Go to Evolution. Edit > Preferences > Select an email account > Edit > 'Defaults' Tab > Change, say, 'Drafts' Folder location > Click 'OK' > CRASH! I have two computers with Evolution installed and I can reproduce this every single time in both the computers. [Bug 335942] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in start_thread()
Hello, I am experiencing this bug even with Jaunty final release. I installed it fresh on my desktop (not an upgrade from Intrepid). When I insert a movie DVD, I can play it with VLC so I guess the mounting part works okay. But when I insert a blank CD to write stuff on to it and click either on 'CD/DVD Creator' or 'Brasero', all desktop icons disappear! Brasero does not start. [Bug 71045] Re: pymol can not find the BLOSUM62 matrix; wrong path
I am using Pymol on Jaunty and came across a similar bug. The error I see is this: Match-Error: unable to open matrix file '/usr/share/pymol/pymol/matrices/BLOSUM62'. When I checked, I noticed that /usr/share/pymol directory does not have another 'pymol' directory. However, /usr/share/pymol has a 'matrices' directory in which BLOSUM62 is present. So, I created a 'pymol' directory in /usr/share/pymol and made a symlink to matrices folder there. That fixed it! I have the same problem. I upgraded from Hardy to Intrepid RC. Login window appears; but after entering user ID and password, the screen goes blank. [Bug 341757] [NEW] openoffice calc split view hides sheets tabs
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org I have a spreadsheet that has several columns full of data and was using the split view (Window > Split). In this view, I noticed that if I have the vertical split line moved all the way to the left (as shown in the screenshot), it hides the tabs that show sheets. [Bug 331844] [NEW] ctrl+selection in text boxes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org I am not sure if this is a bug or just a missing feature... In Writer, I can select text at one place in a document; hold Ctrl button and select more text elsewhere in the document. This does not work when I try to select text from multiple places in a text box. This behavior is not just specific to Writer. I observed identical behavior in Impress also. [Bug 221595] Re: keyboard shortcuts don't match with functions in Impress
I don't know if I have the same bug or not... but in my case shortcuts are incorrect when I use them to manipulate text in a text box. For example, in Impress when I select text in a textbox and do Ctrl-B which is for bold face, the text gets justified - not changed to bold face. In similar fashion, Ctrl-A results in a 'Save As' pop up instead of selecting all the text. I tried André's suggestion but that did not work. [Bug 212531] [NEW] Amarok album art not fetched from amazon
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: amarok Several albums in my collection do not have album art. When I right- click on the empty album icon, I see an option to 'Fetch cover from amazon.com'. In earlier versions, that option used to search in amazon.com and display the album art in a new window. This seems to be broken now. Thank you @kchsieh and @vicamo I followed the steps mentioned above and installed the linux-headers-oem-20.04b and linux-image-oem-20.04b packages. After rebooting using the 5.10 kernel, I still don't see the WiFi card recognized. $ uname -a Linux sgb3 5.10.0-1014-oem #15-Ubuntu SMP Wed Feb 3 14:07:18 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I am seeing the following in kernel log: $ grep 'ath11k' kernel.log Feb 03 14:42:38 sgb3 kernel: ath11k_pci :71:00.0: WARNING: ath11k PCI support is experimental! [Bug 1879633] Re: Killer 500s (QCA6390) WLAN/BT [17cb:1101] unavailable
I figured it out! Here's what I had to do: (copied from: https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/ath11k/installation) git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git cd linux-firmware sudo cp -r ath11k/ /lib/firmware/ So far it is working fine. I am able to close the laptop lid, put it to sleep and WiFi connects automatically after the machine wakes up. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1879633 Title: Killer 500s (QCA6390) WLAN/BT [17cb:1101] unavailable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1879633/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: likewise-open I have been having this problem ever since I upgraded from Maverick to Natty beta. [Bug 561266] Re: Reply doesn't choose the good email sender like in previous version
I am experiencing the same problem. I have multiple GMail accounts configured in my Evolution: GMail-1 is my default account. When I 'Reply' to an email sent to my GMail-2 account, it gets sent using the GMail-1 (my default) account instead of GMail-2 account which is the account to which the email was sent to in the first place.
