Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

I guess the title says it all. I get new mail notifications in thunderbird
appear as a rectangular box at the bottom right corner of my desktop. When I
click on one of those notifications,
Expected behavior (correct me if I am wrong here): Thunderbird window (if
minimized) should be restored and that particular mail should be highlighted
and open for me to read. The mail should then be marked 'Read'.
Current behavior: Email is marked 'Read'. If thunderbird is minimized, it gets
restored but the window itself is buried under several other windows that may
be open. If thunderbird is not minimized, then nothing really happens other
than the email getting marked 'Read'.

Ubuntu Intrepid
Thunderbird 2.0.0.18 (20081125)

** Affects: thunderbird (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
