[Bug 72643] Re: Log directory fills hard disk regularly
I've had this error before. See http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419389 All I did to remove it was delete all the big log files in .beagle/Log/. It seemed that beagle kept looping on one file creating a huge log that filled my partition. You could use a livecd and install baobab, use that to find which files are the biggest, then just delete them. [Bug 552826] [NEW] Ibus anthy plugin can't find ibus python module

After a bit of investigating, I discovered that the ibus main.py file does not seem to have some essential python directories in it's path. I really have no idea why this has happened. In any case, this is what sys.path outputs from main.py: ['/usr/share/ibus-anthy/engine', '/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages', '', '/usr/lib/python2.6/', '/usr/lib/python2.6/plat-linux2', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-tk', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-old', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-dynload'] And this is what sys.path looks like from an interactive python shell: ['', '/usr/lib/python2.6', '/usr/lib/python2.6/plat-linux2', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-tk', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-old', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-dynload', '/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages', '/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/PIL', '/usr/lib/python2.6/dist- packages/gst-0.10', '/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6', '/usr/lib/python2.6 /dist-packages/gtk-2.0', '/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/gtk-2.0', '/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/wx-2.6-gtk2-unicode', '/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/wx-2.8-gtk2-unicode', '/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages'] As you can see, there are a huge number of paths missing. Other python applications seem to be working fine so I'm not entirely sure what the problem is here. I managed to fix this by manually adding the paths needed by ibus-anthy with the following line in main.py, just about the import ibus line: sys.path.extend(['/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/','/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/gtk-2.0/']) This seems to be working but it isn't a permanent solution. I would also love to see this behaviour reverted. I have my main hard drive partitioned into about 15 partitions and all I see when I go to the Computer is 15 instances of 250GB Hard Disk... while the rest has been truncated. This does not help me choose the right icon. It does not even give me useful information. If it gave me the size of the partition, it might help. I don't really care about how big the overall medium is, I just want to know how much spcae is available to me and it is silly to assume that the size of the drive is the same as the space availabe. Uhm for me, I need to kill compiz and then restart it again. After that, the settings work as they should. [Bug 933776] Re: [regression] "Initiate Window Picker for All Windows" does not show all windows. It shows only windows from curent workspace.
Andreas, I like Unity. I think it is slower that gnome 2 + compiz but change is good once in a while and there is no room for innovation unless we change things. I have also used compiz since the beryl/compiz split and I really love it. By the way, you can move windows between desktops with Ctrl-Alt-Shift-arrow. [Bug 1070568] [NEW] Nautilus shouldn't call itself "Home Folder" when it isn't in the home folder
Public bug reported: I guess it could be a translation error but when switching to nautilus in Unity, it shows up as Home Folder even when it is in another folder. This seems really discontinuous and not very user-friendly or practical because if I choose it, it doesn't take me to my home folder. Ideally, it would be based on the title of the nautilus window, which is generally the name of the folder it is in but failing that, even just File Manager would be a better choice than Home Folder.
