Well, it doesn't make any sense upgrading. On my Mac all works fine, on my
Win2K I usually use Opera 5 identified as MSIE and it works as well.

Proxy, nope I go behind it.
Some go thru...

the problem stays no matter what.

Security settings?
again, makes no sense, I think, most of the users having this problem have
never touched Internet Options.
server? no SSL, nothing... accessible internally, behind firewall.

I wonder what is the problem of Explorer in terms of compatibility with
headers, flushes and other PHP Functions directly influencing browsers.

I've seen that error (from different machines, locations but always on
MSIE5*) on a whole bunch of websites running on PHP, including PHP.net.
And now that I think, these usually were databases etc... Like function
reference on PHP.net

I know that what I am saying doesn't really make much sense - PHP is on
server and a browser is on client side. I just wonder if there can be some
other details something with web server ?...

RE: [PHP] URGENT: IE pops-up an Error and File Download Fails. Ne eds to be fixed NOW. Please advise.

2001-02-21 Thread Maxim Maletsky

I do not need to upgrade, I can just get onto my MAC (MSIE 5 : Mac edition)
and see it working.
I know it's client side problem. But it wasn't born just like that. There's
something (or better say MSIE 5.01) interrupting the download of file. No
errors in apache log files also suggests that IE quit instantly without
saying anything to apache.

and think of this scenario..

the database:

|table 1|table 2|table 3|table 4 (opp_post)|table 5|

Everything works, table 1 is cool, table 2 is fast, table 3 is interesting,
but not table 4 (opp_post), which is the ONLY damn table - troublemaker.
Yes, you guessed it: it is same db file.
There's an SQL query which look something like "SELECT id, f1, f2, f3, f4,
whatever FROM $db LIMIT 30";
The variable $db is what goes through GET. (for instance opp_post, it's is
real name, very valid, I guess...)

Very simple.

Of course the guess is that there's something in database. Some particular
entry, characters... BUT, nothing so funny that I can blame!
I cannot remove the entries from DB for security reasons, but I have very
carefully searched for any unescaped character, strange peace of code,
anything strange from now till the moment the problem showed up.

I found nothing to blame.

It cannot be that no one of you have never seen that?
I've seen it on the web and never though it could happen to me!!

Thanks anyway, guys,
If you got any ideas and see no "FIXED" in this thread subject - write me I
am here not sleeping.

Cheers

Hello guys,
This is that time when I am in trouble ...

One of our internal databases receives inputs from all kind of different
places and stores them for later reviews.
Since it's creation it was all going perfectly well, but now it has a little
problem:

The Internet Explorer gives me this error while listing one of databases'
tables:

(it is a pop up message of internet explorer)

Internet Explorer Cannot Open the internet site
http://that.damn.db/database.php
?db=opp_post

The download of the specified resource has filed.

What is it, PHP or IE? I suppose something is wrong with IE (5.01 for
instance), but so far couldn't come with any solution. The output is simply
not there, source shows cuted off at the very beginning of file - after few
hundreds of bytes.

This suggests me that one of the entries in Database is somehow corrupting
IE. But I have not found anything strange. What to look for, guys?

I tested it on Opera and Netscape - no probs whatsoever.
I also tested it on Linux, and Mac (Opera, Netscape) - no probs whatsoever.
...and (listen to this one)...
I tested it on Mac, MSIE 5.(01)? (just the version I have on my Win2k) --
and It gave me no errors at all.

Why MSIE 5.01 of Win2k gives that message and breaks download?

I've seen this messages already while browsing the web, and that's the
reason I'm asking you: anyone had to fix that before? What are your guesses
on my problem?

It is quite urgent since the database is not usable and I don't have much
time for researches on this iss

RE: [PHP] Pay for help

2001-02-21 Thread Boaz Yahav

It's very funny these emails :)

1st, it's berber and not Mr. Yahav (like Mr. Gates).

2nd, every now and then comes someone that has no idea about
the WeberDev.com background and thinks We are here for the $1,000,000's.

A few words of correction :

1. WeberDev.com has been around since April 1998. Till sometime in 2000
There was only me, Mr. berber, devoting much of my time to set this site
up (days and nights), after that came Rafi to help.

2. We do not make $$$ from the site nor is it our main job. I'm a software
engineer
working for an ISP and Rafi is a lawyer, we both keep WeberDev.com as a
hobby
and for the benefit of the PHP community.

3. While people may think this is a big company, with tens of developers and
content
writers, I can assure you that it's only Me and Rafi. We pay from our
own pockets
for the hosting and some more things that are needed to run a site like
this and
relay on the good will of the community to help where it can.

4. As for the jobs / projects area, it's a place for people to find workers
or for
companies or individuals that need projects done for them to find
developers
to do it for them. WeberDev.com is only an intermediate. We do not
collect
any $$$ from this. This is a free service like any other service on
WeberDev.com.
and as we all know, not everything can be done by email.

I hope this sheds some light about the commercial level of this site. And as
to free
advertisement, I think that the PHP list is a perfect place to get free
advertisement
for a site like WeberDev.com, since we are here for the community.

Richard Bradley,

Posting to PHP general mailing list asking for help has never been a problem
in the past. Mr Yahav should have mentioned that he is the owner operator

If there was a mistake in net-etiquette, it was not your mistake Richard,
but Mr. Yahav's. He should have clearly stated that his email, to you and

Best of luck trying to find help with installation. I have forwarded your

It is quite urgent since the database is not usable and I don't have much
time for researches on this issue.
The sad thing is that our office uses the exactly same configured machines
(MSIE5 - Win2k) and no one can view the database from their PCs. All the
sales and coordinators are staying here in line near my MAC while I am
writing you this.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Because then you're not using SSL, and the URL format should work if
you use OpenLDAP 2.x.x libraries, and it does work for me. I've tested
it on Linux and I know people using this heavily on Solaris as well.

RE: [PHP] URGENT: IE pops-up an Error and File Download Fails. FIXED (no idea how)

2001-02-21 Thread Maxim Maletsky

OK, Thanks everyone for trying to help me out. I think I have "fixed" it.

All I've done was:

inside a function repeating on each row
I changed -

if($int)return "$good";

with -

if($int)return "$good

";

...and it worked
In this way there's more data and different file size is being sent to the
browser.
I wish I new why why it worked ... what was the problem...

My only guess - packets.

Something was wrong with pockets, or file size...

the file size differs now, and it works...

Geez

I will investigate on this.
This is just too funny to forget about.

IE is so buggy

Maxim Maletsky

The funny thing is that the error sometimes goes away (I am frenetically

It never happened here before. Just from yesterday, or today .. not sure.

You see Boaz, this is slightly different. It is not "Connection could not
established" troubleshooted by MS KBase as -- click TCP/IP ... then click
advanced This is "Download of specified resource has failed" persisting
on every machine in this office.

(Win2k running MSIE 5.01 only).

I wonder if IE finds something interesting between the pockets received and

What so funny do I output?... ths is the question.

[PHP] Database Paging using MSSQL 2000

2001-02-21 Thread Ankur Verma

Hello All!

I am implementing a database application using PHP4 and MSSQL2000. I have a database
table which has a large no. of tuples. I want to display the data in the form of pages
with Prev Next buttons.

I wanted to know if there is some syntax in the MSSQL Select statement which can allow
me to limit the no. of records being returned. I am lookin at functionality which is
similar to LIMIT in Mysql.

for ex, LIMIT 10,10 in MYSQL returns to me a maximum of 10 records starting from the
10th record in the returned recordset.

is there any similar functionality available in MSSQL.

if not, how should I go about implementing this functionality.

I would also appreciate if someopone could point me to a good tutorial on the subject
using MSSQL server as the database server.

RE: [PHP] Pay for help

2001-02-21 Thread Maxim Maletsky

Yup, and I am your competitor!

PHPBeginner.com is about to be something like WeberDev.com (which I
personally very much like and respect)
Remember, Berber, my postings of on WeberDev.com which you replied me back
to:

from your email: August 23, 2000

Why did you post an article from Zend as an example? did you write the

I then replied to you:
"
   Hi Boaz,

No, I did not write the article, I just thought how useful it can be for
beginners to start writing classes in PHP.
I appologize if what I did was against your rules.
If it was then please remove my entry from your database.

   Maxim Maletsky
"

and then you explained it to me:
"

   Hi

It's not against any rule but it think it doesn't look
good to add an example as a link to another site which is
a competitor. At least not without asking first.

I took it off for now.

thanks for the try though, and don't hesitate to add
more examples in the future :)

   Sincerely

berber

"

I know it doesn't look nice, but, common, we are talking about open source
technology... a little of allowance would be nice since you are not really
earning anything.

Guess what, that day a though came to my mind, why not to write some
articles and compete with you?

I have a dedicated server in New York all for my own, for a different
business I do, so I'll just build a website and dedicate it to the beginners
of PHP Community, they'll love it. I'll write some staff for them and so
on...

Newbies to me,
advancers to you!

Too bad I cannot dedicate all of my time to PHPBeginner.com, I am a senior
developer here in Tokyo in an IT PRE-IPO. Have a whole bunch of things to
do, plus my hobbies are helping out developers at Source Forge and reading
tutorials of things I don't know "C or Java for example, advanced web
usability design"

I am not hoping to earn much from the site, nor I can lose much, I will only
bring more curiosity for these who ask : "hey, what's the difference between
echo and print ?"

I do really care about this idea:

"Making webmasters and Perl/C/Java Programmers interested in PHP."

I won't have a code database, nor I'll have much content at the beginning.
No sales online ... a banner only allowing me sometimes get a day off from
work :-))

a newbie uses my site until he know too much and thinks it is boring then he
goes to elsewhere like WeberDev.com or PHPBuilder.com

Check it Out
PHPBeginner.com - will open very soon!
Today, in few hours from now!

The problem is in this last bit here, where you've entered "this is a test.
let's see if this goes through." Despite PHP autmotacially putting in the
backslash for you, it won't work. MySQL sees the ' as being the end of that
variable. Many of the clients seem to be able to encode this by themselves,
but PHP doesn't. So you need to run urlencode() over this kind of stuff.

no, extensions found in php.ini were loaded and initialised immediately
after ini parsing was done, before initialization of builtins and even
before initialization of other things like fopen wrapper registration

(in 4.0.4 exetensions were even loaded immediately within ini parsing)

now the list of extensions to load is carried arround until all other

at least should not qualify as dirty hack, and it makes it possible
again to have dynamic extensions register fopen wrappers or info logos

right now module shutdown functions are called in the same order as
initializers, this should be reversed IMHO ...

[PHP] RE: Help?

2001-02-21 Thread Tim Ward

This is a big philosophical question.

If you drop a stone a million times you still can't predict that it'll fall
the next time unless you know the mechanism. Gravity is something we still
don't really understand but with software YOU WROTE THE CODE.

You still need to test to check your code but more important is proving it
by checking the logic. Once you've done this you know the sorts of things
that need testing (boundary conditions, etc.).

Just using and banging numbers through a program doesn't prove it works
(although it can prove it doesn't). This sort of testing should only be done
after you've proved the program to satisfy the bean-counters.

does this not already do it? according the manual "w" as the second
parameters will "place the file pointer at the beginning of the file and
truncate the file to zero length".

the smtp part is configured like this:

there something else inside php.ini that I should change?

[PHP] Deleting mySql records based on dates

2001-02-21 Thread Thomas Edison Jr.

How do I delete records from my mySql database which
are three weeks old?? I will be declaring a date field
for the records but what coding should I do in order
to check if the records are three weeks old and then
erase them so that my data is up to date??

T. Edison jr.

Try something like:

$time = time(); // unix time now
$day_limit = 28; // how many days to allow

$day = 86400; // how many seconds in 24 hours(1 day)
$difference = bcmul($day_limit,$day); // multiply the seconds($day) by the

Eeeek. Have a look at the Mysql manual sometime soon!

$sql = mysql_query("delete from table where datefield <= DATE_SUB(NOW(),
INTERVAL $days DAY)", $dbh);

The reason I used that route was to show the logic.

Yes its long- some people may not want a mysql reliant way of doing it.

[PHP] Bug: reference, foreach, array (FYI)

2001-02-21 Thread Yasuo Ohgaki

I've found out what's wrong with PHP4 partially.
It might help people who are getting errors - document contains no data or
like.

You may get various strange PHP4 behavior with (possibly without)
combination of reference, foreach and array if you don't pass expected
values to functions.

I've posted Bug Report to www.php.net BugID#9369

Take a look at comments in test2.php

Oh come on! If you are going to use a database why not USE IT fully?
If you are going to treat it like a flat file, why bother installing it

If you're using the odbc functions, then what's the purpose of FreeTDS?

[PHP] HTTP_REFERER doesn't work with redirects...?

2001-02-21 Thread Dhaval Desai

Hi!

I just want to get the URL of the page that is
redirecting to the other page.
For example..

I have two files
login.php
something.php

Something.php has a line saying:

So When I open Something.php it automatically takes me
to login.php. On the login.php page I have the
following lines

It doesn't seem to work. I think the problem is
because I don't click and go to something.php. I am
getting redirected to the file./ SO is there nay other
way I can get the URL of the file Which is
redirecting.

Thanx a lot

Cheers!~

Thanks, maybe I should have made myself a little clearer though

I am expecting more than one row to be returned from the db.

So how would I get the all the rows returned into an associative array??
The manual tells you how how it should, but I need to do it from

Re[2]: [PHP] MIME type detection on file

2001-02-21 Thread Andris Jancevskis

My files are outside web server. These files can not be accessible
from http://, but anly user running web pages (nobody or IUSR_)
have access. This limitation is to secure user files.

My primary target is to deliver files to user using web browser. If I
use require() or insert it is not possible in win32, but if file
contains valid php code it is *very big* security hole.

How to do this. Mime type tells to browser, wht to do.
I can only display binary stream like text ...

Could You know, how to send file like .dll, .exe, .php to client
without executing on server-side?

Why not use a for loop instead?

for($i = 0; $db->next_record(); $i++) {
   $menu[$i]["name"] = $db->f("name");
   $menu[$i]["url"] = $db->f("topic_id");
}

Then you can access them through another loop.

[PHP] Displaying an image, that is pulled from a DB, inline

2001-02-21 Thread Boget, Chris

Is it possible to pull an image, stored as binary data in a
mySQL table, and display it on a page inline? So it acts
as if the image was pulled from the file system normally?

If it is possible, could you point me to some online resources
that would give information on how this is done? I've tried
a few things on my end to no avail. I've also searched a
few PHP sites (PHPBuilder, etc) but couldn't find anything
there (I could be doing the wrong searches).

In any case, any information would be most helpful!!

thnx,
Chris

[PHP] access violation

2001-02-21 Thread Wade Halsey

hi

im running iis5 with php 4.04 as isapi accessing an interbase6 database

i get the following error :
PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 78003ABF

this error occurs once an sql statement is run, the sql statement takes a paramater
from a select box and then runs.It runs fine for a number of entries except for one
entry that bombs it out with the above error. The query should return about 9900
records. The exact query has run once but since then bombs out with the error. I have
made no changes and the same query executes perfectly if i run it through IBConsole

im pretty sure its a server problem, can anyone confirm this or help out? if it is a
server error how can it be fixed?

this is quite urgent

[PHP] Accessing variables from a form

2001-02-21 Thread Don

Hi,

I'm in a quandary here. I have a form which contains sever tables each
containing similar fields. The number of tables are dynamic based on
vales I retrieve from a database. Each table has the following fields:

$name
$phone
$fax

In order to differentiate the filed names in my form, I created a loop
and extended each field name with the loop iteration as such ($rownum is
my loop counter):

"
"
"

So I would have field variables of:
$name1, $name2, $name3, ...
$phone1, $phone2, $phone3, ...
$fax1, $fax2, $fax3, ...

So far so good as I have verified that these fields exist.

Now, when the user clicks on the submit button, the form data gets
posted to a PHP script. I wish to access the variables but here I am at
a loss. I attempted the following code without success ($rownum is the
number of tables I created):

for ($i = 1; $i <= $rownum; $i++) {
  $field = "phone" . $i;
  $name =& $field;
  echo $field . ":" . $name . "\n";
}

The docs state that references are NOT pointers. So., how can I
access my variables? I could not find any information on Macros or
Pointers.

Thanks,
Don

> I came across this:
>   $confidential = 0;

Yes. When comparing types, PHP generally typcasts one side
of the operand to the type of what is on the other side. So in
the above operation, it is typecasting "yes" to an integer and so
becomes a '0' (zero). Because of that, 0 == 0 and so resolves
true.
What you want to do is

echo "$confidential " . ("$confidential" == "yes");

and you'll get your expected results.

I disagree! We have had to pull clients off of them. Their site would go
down for days at a time and their email would go down the same way. If
you emailed support you might hear back from them in a day or two. If
you called support, you would be lucky if you were not left on hold for
30 minutes or more. The straw that broke the camels back, they change
their email system and didn't notify our clients.

In the end it took our clients lawyer to completely break off with them.
they kept bill and writing threating letters for months.

AW: [PHP] Session files? (Very Techy Questions)

you can handle that with php also, if you don't allow direct download.
instead you write a download skript that first checks for login, then
sends the proper header to handle the download and then passes the data
to the user. you can find information about that in the manual at
www.php.net/header

> Now according to this the cookie like files should be deleted after
> 1440 seconds, but on my machine their not. Any reason why?

the 1440 is just when the data is identified as garbage.
after that also the garbage collector must be invoked.
you have a gc_probability of 1% set, so it's not very likely they will
be deleted soon

[PHP] a good hosting experience

2001-02-21 Thread Julie Meloni

As a follow-up to the "Terrible Hosting Experience" posts, here's a
"Good Hosting Experience" post.

I completely and unabashedly recommend Hurricane Electric (www.he.net),
for virtual or dedicated hosting. AND...they're not paying me a thing to
say that. :)

They have virtual host packages starting at ten bucks. thickbook.com
runs on a thirty bucks a month virtual hosting package, and it's just
fine (as far as I can tell). PHP 4, MySQL at all levels of pricing, and
you can control local PHP values with .htaccess, just fine.

I also have a 1U dedicated server there for $200/mo
(www.mytrainingcamp.com) and am ecstatic about it.

So, go Hurricane!

You would add "phtml" to the line in your server config file that determines
which extensions are handled by PHP

To give more info we'd really need details of which server software you're
running, and whether it's hosted by an external company or if it's in your
bedroom.

The new accounts are the Freedom accounts. Great setup,
speed, functionality. Pricing is competitive-ish too.

VServers have been bought by HostPro and I have to say that
the level of service has gone down considerably since the move.
VServers had 24/7 support and I think the longest it ever actually
took to get something done (not just hear back from them) in the
9 months or so that I've been with them was about an hour.

HostPro is currently running at around the 24-72 hour mark.
Definite culture shock. The premium that I was happily paying
for VServers is starting to lose it's value to me - especially seeing
the Freedom accounts (which AFAIK will replace the VServer
line of products) are lacking some of the flexibility in the lower end
accounts that was present in the previous setups at the same
price point.

Richard

H, I have to tell you, and perhaps your not aware,
but I've gone to your site many times and had it not
come up. Then have the traceroutes reveal that the site
was unreachable at it's final destination.

[PHP] How to issue a new session without closing the browser?

2001-02-21 Thread Evelio Martinez

Hi!

I have used your postgresql session functions in
http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.session.php with few changes.

I have a login.php page that register 3 things
  - the pg_connect string,
  - a login flag to indicate that we already have done the login
  - actual time

In a second php page I test
 - if login variable is set, if not I redirect to the login page.
 - if time has expired, if affirmative redirect to login page

I have added a "pg_session_destroy" in your "user functions" to delete
the actual session but when
I reenter in the login page the session_start() re-creates the data I
have just deleted with the same session_id.

I would like to know how to issue a new session without closing the
browser?
What did I missed?

- Working with php 4.0.4

- php.ini contains
session.auto_start Off
session.cache_expire 180
session.cache_limiter nocache
session.cookie_domain no value
session.cookie_lifetime 0
session.cookie_path /
session.cookie_secure Off
session.entropy_file no value
session.entropy_length 0
session.gc_maxlifetime 60
session.gc_probability 1
session.name PHPSESSID
session.referer_check no value
session.save_handler user
session.save_path /tmp
session.serialize_handler php
session.use_cookies On

- track_vars and gpc_globals are not enabled

TIA

Re: [PHP] Configuring PHP4 on pair.com

2001-02-21 Thread Michael Stearne

Don't reference the absolute path to php4.cgi in your .htaccess it has to be
relative to the domain. Instead, try:

Action application/x-httpd-php-xphp /cgi-bin/PHP2/php.cgi
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php-xphp .phtml

This is how I got PHP2 back. BUT, if you server is one of the ones that have been
upgraded to FreeBSD 4, PHP4 is already installed.

Try to run "uname -v" when you log in. You may not have to compile PHP4 like this.

Or see if your server has been upgraded at
http://support.pair.com/notices/stable-upgrade.html

Re: [PHP] Terrible Hosting Experience

2001-02-21 Thread Toby Miller

Here's another story to use as an "I told you so" if you choose to try them
anyway.

CI Host. We have been hosting with them for almost two years now. The only
reason we never left was because we couldn't find anyone else offering the
same redundant connections that we could actually verify. A lot of people
claim to have these awesome networks, but have you ever actually tried to
find out detailed information about their network? You know, like location,
security, who their providers are, etc. Most likely they are not a real
hosting provider, but just someone else with a dedicated hosting package on
someone else's network. You'd be amazed.

Here are just some of the situations we've had to endure with CI Host.

We were hosting a NT client who we wrote a CGI application for. When one of
our admins put the CGI application in the cgi-bin and attempted to execute
it they got a permission error saying they couldn't execute the application.
So they went to the support chat to try to get one of the technical support
staff to see why the permissions were failing. After 30 minutes of waiting
on others currently being helped they started evaluating the situation.
After our admin explained what was going on the technician said, you
shouldn't be allowed to execute EXE's on our servers. Then for the shocker.
The technician revoked our execute permissions and muted our admin in chat.
This of course, not only prevented our application from working, but every
other stock cgi which is provided by CI Host in the cgi-bin with all new
hosting accounts. Needless to say this took several days to sort out and
there was no apology.

We signed up some dial-up accounts for a few of our employees to use from
home. We did the request online and the accounts were activated the next
day. These employees used these accounts for at least four months. We never
received invoices for these accounts, though we asked every month why they
were not on the invoices and they would say they'd look into it, which they
never did. At the end of that four months we cancelled the dial-up accounts
as those employees finally got cable connections at home so they didn't need
us to provide them with dial-up access any longer. Anyhow, it was 2 months
after that when we finally got an invoice. It was for all "6" months (they
never cancelled the accounts) and they billed us for a dial-up package that
we never activated. We simply activated a normal dial-up, but they billed us
for some deluxe dial-up that included hosting and a slew of other features
that we never used. So instead of $25.00 a month for each account for four
months which should have been around $200.00 we were billed around $720.00
for 6 months of $60.00 a month dial-ups. It took 7 additional months to get
that straightened out which caused our hosting account to be de-activated
several times in the process because of our refusal to pay it. Even though
the account was placed under review and promised it would not be shut down.

On at least 4 different occasions we have been hung up on by tech support.
Once they even deleted all of the user accounts to MySQL on one of the
servers we had a site on. This took several days to get straightened out.
Their billing is anything but acceptable. Their technical support is
sporadic at best. They seem to have outgrown their abilities and it shows in
their day to day processes. While there are so many other things that I
could post about it's really just ranting as we have finally found an
alternative that we've been testing out for the past few months and we've
been very happy with the results.

Check out MyBizHosting at
http://www.mybizhosting.com/

They're fairly new, but their connection is just awesome and the technical
support is great. While they don't give away the same amount of storage that
CI Host does with all of their accounts you can upgrade the accounts
whenever you need to. Besides, how many sites actually use 600MB of space?
We only have one client that even exceeds 150MB. They have online billing
and invoice history (which is actually accurate and current, unlike CI
Host's online billing system). Their control panel (which is provided with
every account puts CI Host's Monster Controls to shame) is also excellent.
It allows you make changes to just about any aspect of your hosting account.
So check them out if you haven't already. They've managed to impress us so
far.

Toby

$confidential = 0; # Numeric 0

That explains the 0.

$confidential == "yes"

This is a little tricky. The numeric value of 'yes' is 0, so it
evaluates to the same thing as 0 == 0, which is true. True has a
numeric value of 1, although all values besides 0 are considered true.

You might want to look at the === operator which checks that both the
value and the type of the operands is identical.

Maybe this approach is simpler.

If you create your fields like this:
';
echo '';
echo '';
...
?>
then after submitting you will have arrays: $name, $phone, $fax.

Now, for values from first table use: $name[0], $phone[0], $fax[0].
For second: $name[1], $phone[1], $fax[1].
etc...

And there's no need for huge amount of variables.

Hope this helps. :)

[PHP] AS400 Insert - The answer

2001-02-21 Thread Karl J. Stubsjoen

Okay,

To insert data into an AS400 system (proven on Ver 4.4) you must first:

Begin Journaling for the the file to insert into

This is done by issuing the following command at the command prompt:

STRJRNPF FILE(lib/file) JRN(jrnllib/jrnlfile)

(where test is your libs and files)

Let me know how it goes!
