However, given the above error I wonder if you really run your compiled Scid, which seems impossible as the make breaks there with an error or if you just fall back on the distributions version of Scid. Therefore: are you sure that you don't run a precompiled package from your distribution? Depending on what you use, this might have disable EGTB support.
