If you look at the snapshots, "File, Edit, Game, Search, Windows, ..." are ok (and similar to Firefox and OpenOffice), "Comment Editor, Game List, PGN Window" are different. I know I can *change* fonts, but this is exactly my point. With Firefox, OpenOffice, etc I had by default fonts that are perfectly fine. I know hundreds of people that use those programs, and none of them has changed them. In contrast, Scid has default fonts that are sub-optimal (unless we don't want to hypothesize that those of all the other softwares are sub-optimal, instead). Please don't get me wrong, I like substance more than form, but... "you don't have a second chance to make a good first impression" is something that definitely applies to a software, too.
