I am referring to fonts. If you look at the snapshots, "File, Edit,
Game, Search, Windows, ..." are ok (and similar to Firefox and
OpenOffice), "Comment Editor, Game List, PGN Window" are different.

I know I can *change* fonts, but this is exactly my point. With
Firefox, OpenOffice, etc I had by default fonts that are perfectly
fine. I know hundreds of people that use those programs, and none of
them has changed them. In contrast, Scid has default fonts that are
sub-optimal (unless we don't want to hypothesize that those of all the
other softwares are sub-optimal, instead).

Please don't get me wrong, I like substance more than form, but...
"you don't have a second chance to make a good first impression" is
something that definitely applies to a software, too.
