Matt it is telling you that your .fetchmailrc is readable by someone
other than yourself. Since it contians passeords to a mailserver
somewhere fetchmail won't use it to let you know there is a security
lapse.
The cammand you want is chmod or use the gmc file manager right click on
the file and selvet properties. you can also do it from the command
line. The reading you will doto get this to work will serve you for all
your *nix days :)
very simple actually.
