<< I know I should not do this, but I defy you to name anything Microsoft
pioneered. My momma called what they have done stealing. >>

Paul,

If, by "pioneering" you mean come up with something completely original,
nothing. Of course, nobody working in the last 100 years has come up with
something COMPLETELY original that I can think of.

But if, by "pioneering", you mean bringing the GUI and ease of use to a vast
majority of the computer using population, then yes they did. Xerox might
have invented the GUI, but did any of us use it? Mac might have made it a
bit more popular, but who could afford those outrageous prices for a
teeeeeny little screen?

Microsoft's offerings might be inadequated in the realm of stability, but
most folks don't know that. And believe it or not, that's a blessing.
Because until the gui came up, the average user used 2 applications
regularly. Now people use several. All because of a consistent look and
feel. THAT is what Microsoft gave us.

That said, I can't stand the bastards. <G> But I *will* give the Devil his
due. Its called "being objective". More of us should give it a shot. <g>

Regards,

Antony Chessor
