Eh.. problems right off the bat with that one. If you input, say, (using a
real world example) linux-2.2.18 (for linux-2.2.18.tar.gz), it would do
the first step right, but fail on the 'cd' since the kernel source tree
always untars to 'linux' (at which point you have to rename the directory
and set a link as most of us do). If you input 'apple' and someone decided
that it be funny to not keep things pretty, you could end up with
a directory 'peach'.

Not all trees have README files either.

Just pointing out some issues :P
