Lee et al,
I am much further along than before. I can mount cds to read. The
output of cdrecord is okay:
Cdrecord 1.9 . . . .
. . .
. . .
scsibus):
0,0,0 0) 'Memorex ' 'CDRW-2216 ' '1.0b' Removable CD-ROM
nothing else is on the scsi bus except a scsi tape device that didn't
show up but that is a different problem.
Device /dev/sg0 exists as do /dev/sr0 and /dev/scd0 the latter being
linked to /dev/cdrom.
I have uninstalled xcdroast 0.98.1 and reinstalled with a cleanly
downloaded rpm. I get the same result. It is a test version, but the
old version worked with this setup well before upgrading!
I do not know mkisofs and cdrecord (still too green) but I guess I
will have to try and decipher the man pages and try to burn a CD
manually which means it isn't going to get done for a long time.
Does anyone have any insight into the xcdroast behavior?
Thanks to all
Bob
