Those are pretty good boxes, I'd agree..
I'd also have to totally disagree with the previous poster about using
Toshiba notebooks. It seems that Toshiba now uses the Savage IX/8 chipset
in everything they make. You're limited to XFree86 3.3.6 with that
chipset.
On the other hand, I've got nothing but good things to say about the IBM
ThinkPad A20 and A21 series machines. Very solid construction, good stuff
inside (ATI Rage Mobility - works great w/XFree 4.0.1), sound works if you
use ALSA too. Great books.
I've got an A20p due in any day now.. Sweet machine: P-III/750, 256 MB
RAM, integrated NIC, 15" screen that does 1400x1050, and DVD.
