I did a little looking around and here's what I found in about 5
minutes of looking around:

The "featured" laptop is as follows:

Compaq Factory Refurbished Prosignia PII 300 Notebook
An outstanding value and performance!! This unit is loaded with the
following features:
                   Pentium II 300
                   14.1" TFT Display, 1024x768 Resolution
                   32MB Memory
                   6GB Hard Drive
                   24x CD-ROM
                   1.44MB Floppy Drive
                   56K v.90 Data/Fax Modem
Red Hat 6.1 Boxed Set Pre-Installed

I'm sure if you asked nicely, they'd install RH 7 instead. :-)

They also have a different laptop with a K6-2/400 processor and Corel
Linux pre-installed. It's about $1800 instead of $2000.

OTOH, my boss uses a Sony Vaio and it works well. I think he may have
had to buy a different modem (IIRC, it comes with one built-in, but
it doesn't work under linux.)
        John
