What do you get when you do this?:

[jortega@www jortega]$ rpm -qi glibc 

This is the output in my Red Hat 6.2 box:

Name : glibc                    Relocations: (not relocateable) 
Version : 2.1.3                 Vendor: RedHat, Inc. 
Release : 15                    Build Date: Tue 29 Feb 2000 04:00:05 PM  CST

That other package seems to require glibc 2.2, not 2.1.
