Boy, 40M is tight... The smallest installation I ever managed was about
75-80MB....
As for the 386, it'll run it just fine with 32M memory... Just the disk
space I'd be worried about.
As an aside, even with my 486, my ethernet network was CPU limited - I could
never get more than about 1Mbps transfer on my LAN (10 base 2) except
between my pentium machines - then I saw more along the lines of 7-8Mbps...
