I've had very good response with my 486SX/25 running LRP connected to Cable
and a 100Mb switched network. My peak throughput (down) has been in the 2.3
Mb/s range (according to notp) without peaking the CPU; more usually I get
1-1.5 Mb/s with 4 clients connected. Note that this is with the Materhorn
varient of LRP with the 2.2.13 kernel recompiled for 'optimised as router
not host'. The best I can tell, it should be possible to get 3-4 Mb/s with
this setup.
