Linda, two things....

One - XFree does support the S3 Trio 3D in 2x AGP mode, just select it

Two - BUT!!! When I had one of these, X used to lock up, or work very
slowly. The answer lies in one of the FAQ at the XFree86 site. There's a
tweak you have to manually set in the config file. It's not hard, but you'll
have to chase it up yourself, because I can't remember exactly. It fixed it
for me, and there were no problems after that.
