I have a Serial Mouse S/N:7M0462641
CE FCC ID:IOW CM-290F
Made In China.
It has a "PC" and "MS" switch on the bottom of the
mouse. The mouse does not work in either position.
I also, have a AWCER mouse with the same kind of
switch on the bottom and Red Hat 6.2 does not
recognize it either when I get to the GUI.
Also, when the screen saver starts, I try to stop it
by pressing any key on the keyboard, but the screen
saver does not stop. Am I missing something here
folks?
I have reloaded RH 6.2 and I get the same thing. I
have also, reformatted my hard drive several times.
I am using a generic monitor, a 4mb video card and a
56k modem blaster modem. The CPU is a AMD K-6 MMX
450.
I, also, have a ZIP drive, in an external case, hooked
up to my parallel port which RH 6.2 does not
recognize.
Am I S.O.L. folks? Where do I start to try and get
my Red Hat working so that I can contribute something
meaningful to this wonderful group?
