It asks. I remember doing it. If not, my memory is really going to hell.
I just looked through the 6.0 Installation Manual and can't find any
reference to sound configuration. There is nothing about sound at all in the
manual. Nothing in the index under audio, sound or sndconfig. I even flipped
through the pages looking.
The only place I can find anything about sound is in the Getting Started
Guide.
OK, so the hole regarding sound is a hole that I dug.
Along with putting printer configuration support back into the installation,
sound configuration should be added, especially during custom install.
The printer gets configured, the network card gets configured, why not the
audio card?
Time to go take some memory pills.
