Interesting, under default RedHat 6.0, I do not get any error messages at
startup. Do you have those defined in your .Xdefaults file somewhere and
if so, is it generic enough that Frame is trying to work with it?
Did you set up your .Xdefaults for the window manager you are using? Mine
was easy, since I was already set up for OpenWindows and olvwm from my
Sun/Solaris days. I have to do some minor tweaking, as I have geometry
options set for a little larger screen resolution than I am currently
using :-) I've placed the stuff from my .Xdefaults at the end of this
message.

Yep, that is part of the power of FrameMaker.

I suspect that they just recompiled it for Linux. Looks the way I
remember it. Of course, until the Linux version became available, I
was using the Windoze version. Only problem now is that I have created
some files using fonts that aren't available for PostScript :-(
The expiration on the license in ONE YEAR from now.
Well, I have fonts to install that I used to use....
MB
PS: I prefer OpenWindows as I am able to configure it so much easier
than GNOME or KDE. I have a 9x9 virtual desktop that is so easy
to configure. GNOME refused to place the stuff that I put into
various locations back in those locations when restarted, even
though it was told to do so. So, back to a windowing system that
WORKS!!!
