4.2 if memory serves me correctly, but it's the kernel that really
matters, and it's 2.0.33.

hdb: ST31720A, 1626MB w/0kB Cache, CHS=825/64/63
My home machine runs RH 4.2 with:
hda: WDC AC21600H, 1549MB w/128kB Cache, CHS=787/64/63, DMA
No problems there. Kernel 2.1.98, but was working fine with 2.0.33.
