Ok I spoke to soon. The preinst.sh script checks your system to see that you
have everything you need to install 3.3.2 and also removes things that could
cause problems with the install so run that first..If you are sure you did
everything correctly via the RELNOTES then check to see what version of
ld.so you have..
<prompt> rpm -q ld.so
Make sure you have at least ld.so-1.7.14 ..If you don't you'll have to
upgrade..
Get the rpm from ftp.redhat.com in
/pub/redhat/old-releases/redhat-4.0/updates/i386/ ....
