You can switch between VT's (virtual terminals) by holding down the alt key
and the F1 key to get to VT 1, alt+F2 for VT 2 etc...

The message would suggest that you logged in and ran XF86Setup and while it
was running you switched VT's and ran it again..

If you didn't I don't know what to tell you except try rebooting and login
once then run XF86Setup 'once' and see what happens..

Did you run preinst.sh as this will create the symbolic links for the new
libraries you installed..Go to /usr/X11R6/lib and see that libXext.so.6
points to libXext.so.6.3 .

Read the RELNOTES for XFree and make sure you installed correctly...
