Seems like a problem with Winblows XP installer. I don't see any relevant of 
this in Linux maling-list. Why don't you try to ask this in WinXP 
mailing-list (if such exists)?
I refuse to help anyone install Winblows. That's like showing someone how to 
shoot him/herself.

<rant>
I am confused. People having problem with installing Winblows ask question in 
this list *just because* the machine has Linux in it before. Try asking 
question on how to install dual boot Win+Linux on a machine that only has 
Winblows before in a Win mailing-list or even MickeySoft tech support...and 
see what kind of answer you get....
