i was perplexed when i first saw this thread since i've been using
pppd 2.3.3 with 2.0.31,32,33 for several months without incident.
however, i'm just using it like i did before and not trying to demand
dial or anything like that. so i guess pppd 2.3.3 is fine with 2.0.x
and kernel ppp 2.2.0 as long as you're using it in basically 2.2.0
compatibility mode. i think that diald is probably still preferable
anyway if you want to demand dial.
