Ohhhh! I didn't know 2.3.3 wouldn't work with 2.0.X kernels. I finally gave
up and installed diald. Now! That was pretty trivial -- at least in
comparison to trying to do the impossible. Of course, it wasn't trivial the
first time I tried it. <:-\
